“Not the throes of all mankind
Equal my distracted mind
I strain and I toss
On a compassionate cross:
Loves good makes me reel
I whirl on loves wheel,
In a swoon of despair,
Hurried here, hurried there-
Torn asunder, I am blind
With a cloud upon my mind,” -Plautus
Universalism is a theme in the Hebrew tradition. And it was discussed in the history books how there would not be Christianity without Judaism. The Hebrews were wise not to give in to idolatry. False gods therefore are rendered useless and baseless. They morality centered themselves in the ethics that to do good was to be righteous. Not to have fame, or riches, or material wealth. As these things can lead to an bad spirit. It was a choice to obey or not to gods laws. The decision therefore was to do bad or to do good as a decision to obey gods commands.
The prophets were the people who listened to gods words and the stake of entire nations lay in their deciphering gods words. They have the message from god and then they bring It to the people.
Because je’-sus. Was a Jew. And was born on the outskirts of an impoverished society outside of Rome and spoke to the gentiles. The time of je’-sus abounding was when he was in the lands with his peoples and the gospels therefore where made for them undoubtedly. Although Christianity is based on the old testament and then therefore the new testament was made also. But because it was in the Judea language the gospels possibly would never have been brought about without the Hebrews. So am I. Therefore it is the theory that there wouldn’t even be Christianity without Judaism.
Pau’ls words administered the gospel of Christ unto other part of the lands in Greece and as we all heard Corinthian gospels. In the acts of the apostles in says “Ye men of Athens, I suppose in all things you be too superstitious. Because as I beheld your supplications, I beheld an altar that said “TO THE UNKNOWN GOD.”
They blessed paul and Barnabus saying they have come down like the stars. Calling paul Me-curi-us and barnabus Jupiter.
Then I can go on and argue how Mesopotamia and Egypt are just like unto Pharaoh in the old testament book of genesis and hinges upon all creation like therefore the cradle of civilizations where brought around and everything was written even in the bible of genesis and the old testament where jo-se’ph and Jacob and Abraham were living gods and how we were all created in gods image and nothing can presuppose god as creator of the heavens and earth. SO be it. His creation is this earth and the heavens above and to wit pharos is just an Egyptian representation of the pharos of ancient civilizations that where abounding in the time of the old testament although baseless and many historians can pre-date the bible and can find actual dinosaur remains. SO be it. Ranting complete.
Although salvation was their ultimate aim, Christians still had to live in and contend living in an imperfect world. They challenged Greco-Roman precepts and created attitudes that would live on for centuries. Based upon selfless acts in passages of the new testament, some Christians refused military service because in condemned violent acts of the shedding of blood. Ok so there’s that.
Now that my history lesson is complete I can continue to enlighten the minds of my fellow peoples by taking a second to say thanks. Thank you god for creating me and my mom for bringing me into this blessed imperfect world we know. Happy birthday mom I love you, And thank you for raising me and spoiling me and beating me and enjoying the day’s we had together with me it will be cherished forever from this earth into heaven. God bless us all and everyone hallelujah. God bless joey Biden god bless Kamala Harris God bless coco joey your moms house may his podcast endure and be a funny and wealthy thing, God bless Joe rogan. Blessed be, “Jamie pull that up”. God bless Jamie. God bless Brian Manolescu and may he find the key to immortality. God bless Kanye may his endeavors bless US. And mostly praise be to the almighty god in heaven this kingdom is his and his is the glory of all the men so as a son I say please may you bless me and let me find my gifts and purpose. Verily. SO be it. Amen. May you kiss the son and find the father.
So now what do we say, with all those prayers out of the way there shouldn’t be much else to type but I will persevere. “Finally you can lean on me, I am never giving up.” This world may be imperfect but may your hands sow work that is perfect for you, that’s what I say. Because everyday is a real hard struggle. Most regular folks know it and so do most irregular folks. But some of us like to get high and give praise to the most high so that’s a blessed thing this Sunday. May the son of man show forth his light on this most blessed day of the sabbath. So be it sabbath for man, not m. for the sabbath, so were out here sowing our good deeds and making the most out of the good things and being optimistic in this sometimes demented shit storm of an existence. Blessed be the lord, who read any mess they read up on the message board. Blessed be the good Australians kickboxing kangaroos and blessed be the fire fighters watering California burning woods. Blessed be the children. Let them be themselves and let us become child like in our ways not as to say some of us haven’t lost our innocence but let it be made known that we do not want them to stumble. IF you caused a kid to stumble you may find a millstone hung around your neck, you may not, who am I to say, lord knows if I did I’m sorry. But let this blessed day have many lords who do good deeds. Let the son of man know us. Let the great forgiver find us at peace with ourselves and with the many things we do. May the Hebrews and the Christians and the ishmal’s and the taber’-ha’s and the muslims and the Indians and the buddhas all be together and at peace. Let us lastly burn in hell and firstly escape our infirmity. Let us become antiquated if we need to in order to find ourselves. Let us be at one with each other. Let the brother meet the brother and the sister love her mother. Let the lord bring our families together, as a unit of people doing good things in this day. Let our fathers not be disgraced by us for being foolish but instead love us for doing good deeds. May the sun shine upon us. May the clouds not rain on us. Between me god and the four walls you can rain a little when were being shit bags Ik we probably shouldn’t have said this or that or smoked this or that but a little rain wont kill. Let the skies not burden us even if they be draped with grey mourning. If that is all I have to say for now so be it but ill continue for the sake of my morning. Its duality but not having a duel mind. Mind you that some people spoke of places they want to go lord don’t forget them and the poor. Don’t forget the hungry lord. Thank you for our daily bread and forgive those who trespass against us. And because we are here and whole and willing to make up a new path in this most holy of sabbath may we never forget those fallen in the wars and the pain of the soldiers who battled for god and glory and for flag and country. May are veteran’s find peace with themselves and the world there are services out there for them, I know that. May we be one with ourselves and be a sound of mind when our times to return to the dust come. I may or may not smoke another pipe and drink another red bull if I’m living everyday like it’s a whole life time I may just have to. So be it.
Essene, Zealot, Sadducees, and Pharisees. Where the four sects of Judaism in the first century. The dead sea scrolls where thought to be from an Essene sect who dwelt near the dead sea. The historians can tell you more about the social-religious developments in Judea more than they can tell you about je’-sus himself. Because very little was written about him at the time and the new testament was written sometime after his death. They know very little about his young life. They thought he was taught Hebrew religious-ethical thought that governed daily life.
Like the Hebrew prophets, je’-sus saw ethics as the core of mosaic law. “So whatever you wish men do to you, do to them, For this is the law and the prophets.” (Matthew 7:12)
The Hebrews demythicized nature, but concerned as they where with religion and morality, they did not create theoretical science. As testimony to gods greatness, nature inspired people to sing the praises of the lord; it invoked worship of god, not scientific curiosity. When Hebrews gazed at the heavens, they did not seek to discover mathematical relationships but admired gods handiwork. The Hebrews did not view nature as a system governed by natural law. Rather they saw the rising sun, spring rain, summer heat, and winter cold as god intervening in an orderly manner in his creation. The Hebrews unlike the Greeks, where not philosophers. They were concerned with gods will, not with the human intellect; with the feelings of the heart, not the power of the mind; with righteous behavior, not abstract thought. Human wickedness stemmed not from ignorance but from disobedience and stubbornness.
Not on rational inquiry; on revelation, not reason. It was the Greeks not the Hebrews, who originated systemic rational thought. But Christianity, born of Judaism, retained the Hebrew view of a transcendent God and the orderliness of his creation-concept that could accommodate Greek science.
God demands that the Hebrews have no other gods and that they make no images, “Nor any manner of the likeness that is in the heaven above, or that it is in the earth beneath,…thou shall not bow down to them or serve them.” (Exodus 20:4-5)
They have been given the freedom to chose between righteousness and wickedness, between “Life and good, and death and evil.” (Deuteronomy 30:15) but having the power to chose freely, men and women must bear the responsibility of their choice.
The Hebrews held that the one true god, both omnipotent and invisible, could not be represented in statues or other human creations. Idols depraved people of their dignity and freedom. People cannot be fully human if they surrender themselves to a lifeless idol.
Evil and suffering were not caused by, blind fate, malevolent demons, or arbitrary gods; they resulted from peoples disregard of gods commandments. The dilemma is in that in possessing a freedom of choice people also are free to disobey god, to commit a sin, Which leads to suffering and death. Thus in the genesis story, Adam and eve were punished for disobeying god.
